How the department is organised.

The General Secretariat is the department's staff body. The Digital Public Services Switzerland Office DPSS and the Federal Delegate for Plurilingualism are attached to it.

A State Secretariat and six federal units provide services for the Federal Administration, Switzerland and the rest of the world on behalf of the department.

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA, the Swiss Federal Audit Office SFAO and the Swiss Federal Pension Fund PUBLICA are administratively attached to the Federal Department of Finance FDF.
